Import DBC File

This form enables you to import a DataBase Container (DBC) file. Note that at this time the import only handles well-formed files. The import wizard has four steps:

1. Load

2. Specify DBC Units

3. Map Units

4. Finish

Load

Specify the file that you would like to load and press the Load File button.

Specify DBC Units

DBC files specify a signal’s unit via a free-form text field. For example, there is no standard way of specifying degrees Celsius. The unit field might contain c, degc, C, degC or any arbitrary values. For this reason you must map the units.

Map Units

Many products have limitations regarding the units that they support.
